Who Are We?
This is a great question and it’s kind of a hard one to answer because we are so many different things; both individually and as a collective. We should start with the fact that we are all natives to the Berkshires because that is where our roots begin and run deepest. This area and the Northeast mean something special to all three of us for different reasons which makes our passion that much more robust. That being said, we all walked very different paths through life before we all met. The one main thing in common throughout each of our journeys was that we were all creative and found different ways to express that.
Adam dove right into video as a hobby documenting dirt bike riding and adventures which quickly turned into him doing it professionally. It started off as favors for friends (as a craft almost always does) and then turned into a paid service he could offer to anyone. Justin is also a master at video but also has a heavy musical background. He has an incredible voice, can play guitar, and has been a part of several bands throughout his adult life. I grew up doing theatre, singing, and drawing/painting which I thank my giant, artistic, creative family for. I added photography to that list in high school as a hobby and have been doing it ever since. Outside of all of that, all of us snowboard and love to be outside as much as we can be because if you’re from this area, that’s just what you do!
Justin and Adam have known each other the longest. Justin reached out to Adam about doing video in the wedding scene and they quickly became fast friends. I met Justin through Adam when we first started dating and the three of us just blended right in with each other. The first shoot we ever did all together was for a Halloween party promo video for a party Justin was throwing (it was a banger, by the way). Adam invited me to tag along and bring my camera to capture the goings on. We did a super spooky shoot with the fabulous Jade Roy (check out the video below) and it was awesome to watch the boys work. After that we decided to get drinks in Lenox which is where the shoot took place. We hung out and talked until last call without even realizing it. When Adam and I were making the decision on taking the plunge with Atlantic Northeast we knew there wouldn’t be a better powerhouse to add to the squad than Justin. It was a no brainer in our minds.
That’s the thing we love most about our group here at Atlantic Northeast; We work SO well together professionally, but we also love to just hang. We make dinner for each other (shout out to Justin’s cheesecakes) and check in to make sure everyone’s doing well. We really love and care about each other which makes our work that much better. On top of it all, we are all perfectionists to the max. We sit and agonize over projects like they’re life or death until we get them not just right, but perfect. It doesn’t matter if we’re editing a small shoot we did for a couple newly in love or a huge multi-video/photo production, we treat every single one like we’re doing it for family which I love. We’re passionate and driven and we’re so excited to be on this journey together. We hope you’re excited too! We are going to have different blogs about different topics rolling out that we hope you’ll really enjoy.
Much Love,
Atlantic Northeast
